Serendipity is a stage band that was born in 2003 out of the modification of the rebranding of the reorganisation of an initial band which name we forgot, and it's much better this way anyway.

At the beginning, the band was rather influenced by artists such as Paolo Conte or French singer Sanseverino. Soon enough though, we found our own sound, where lead vocals and vocal harmonies sit on top of all kinds of music. Serendipity started as a coverband but has little by little included more and more originals to its repertoire (a CD is foreseen some time in 2006).

We're often asked the same question: "What's this style you're playing ?" We have deeply thought about it without finding a definite answer. We could say that we play the music we like (from pop to jazz) with instruments we like, even if it's not a purist approach. To make a long story short, let's say we play jazzabilly.

Serendipity uses an acoustic guitar for the swing, an electric bass for the groove, a drumset for the energy and a keyboard used for piano, accordeon, Fender Rhodes, Hammond organ, and various other heavy-weight instrument sounds.

For information, "Serendipity" means "lucky chance", which is a nice summary of the way things happened for the band. Hence the four-leave clover on our pages.
